ASH are the largest hardwood manufacturer in Australia. ASH control the supply chain from log to finished product. They have a design team capable of supporting projects from inception to completion with DfMA and mass timber experts. Timber Unlimited & CLT Toolbox

We’re excited to announce that Timber Unlimited and CLT Toolbox have joined forces to provide advanced design software for free to the New Zealand timber industry. This collaboration aims to support engineers in implementing the new Timber Structures Standard (NZS AS 1720.1:2022) effectively.

Our goal is to make advanced timber design accessible and practical for engineers, helping to foster innovation and efficiency in the industry.

KLH, established in 1996, has been a trailblazer in helping grow the market of mass timber to what it is today. They recently commissioned their second production facility, featuring cutting-edge technology. KLH is renowned for its commitment to environmental sustainability, integrating eco-friendly practices to enhance energy efficiency and reduce waste.

Prolam & CLT Toolbox

Prolam is New Zealand owned and family grown business based in Motueka in the Nelson Region. Prolam was established orginally in 2002 by John Woodman, Managing Director and have been pioneering from the beginning, looking for ways to innovate with Timber. More than 20 years on, Prolam are an established name and brand across NZ. They are innovators not only with their products, but also with technology – so when we approached them to see if they were interested in collaborating in CLT Toolbox, they were keen to chat. Fast forward to now – and we are excited to share that you can now design with Prolam Glulam beams anywhere there is Glulam on the app – and this includes on the Free Version of the software!

Sodra & CLT Toolbox

Founded in 1938, Södra is renowned for its commitment to sustainable forestry and innovative forest products. Beyond forestry, Södra’s expertise extends to wood products, pulp, textile pulp, biofuels, tall oil, electricity, and district heating. Södra has emerged as one of the leaders in cross-laminated timber (CLT) production, championing the adoption of sustainable building materials. Their facility use fossil-free energy generated on-site, producing CLT panels with one of the lowest carbon footprints on the market. Over the course of 2024, we connected with Martin Eveborn & Daniel Anderson. Both of which have been enthusiastic supporters of our vision – with shared passion for driving infrastructure improvements for the industry. With the addition of the Swedish National Annex, Swedish language support, and Södra’s inclusion, it’s now easier than ever for Swedish engineers to design with CLT. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Södra for their collaboration as we work together to empower Swedish engineers to embrace mass timber design.

NeXTimber & CLT Toolbox

NeXTimber (by Timberlink) is a big deal for the Australian timber industry, they have recently had a number of exciting milestones, completing the construction of the NeXTimber facility in South Australia, pressing their first CLT panels and delivering GLT beams to market. They have been active supporters and contributors to the space of Mass Timber for some time, and their willingness to collaborate with us is certainly proof of their continued investment in industry movements and the space of Mass Timber.
